Approval Workflows

When a submission needs reviewing, approving, or escalating, Formulate handles the routing so nobody has to chase.

1

A submission triggers a workflow

When a form is submitted with a flagged answer (a failed inspection, a safety concern, a value outside tolerance), the workflow engine picks it up automatically based on rules you define.

2

The right person is notified

Formulate sends a notification (push, email, or SMS) to the assigned reviewer. They see the full submission with all photos, data, and context in one view.

3

Review, approve, or reject

The reviewer can approve the submission, reject it with comments, or request additional information. Each decision is timestamped and logged in the audit trail.

4

Automatic escalation if nobody acts

If a submission sits unactioned beyond the configured time limit, Formulate escalates it to the next person in the chain. Nothing gets lost in an inbox.

5

Complete audit trail

Every decision, timestamp, and notification is recorded. For compliance and regulatory purposes, you have a full chain of evidence from field submission to final approval.
